“Emma Moffatt’s remarkable season continued in Hamburg and she will go to the Grand Final as the series leader. Even two wins for someone in the next two rounds in London and Yokohama will not be enough to catch her at the top of the rankings.
The big movers from Hamburg were second and third place finishers, Lisa Norden from Sweden and Daniela Ryf from Switzerland. The training partners elevate themselves up to fourth and third respectively, within striking distance of New Zealand’s Andrea Hewitt, the winner of the Madrid leg of the series.
Canada’s Kathy Tremblay sits in fifth, just ahead of compatriot Laurent Groves in seventh and Sarah Haskins from the USA in sixth. Olympic champion, Emma Snowsill from Australia, drops to eighth as she aims to recover from a hip injury to be back at full fitness for the Grand Final on the Gold Coast.
